Web service sporadically returning "Not found" when users try to access the site

There seems to be an issue with sites getting sporadic intermittent 404s. The issues appears to be the exact same as seen here: Half of the requests for node js web app failing, render not able to serve all the requests - #4 by jeremy-render

Some sites hosted by my service are getting consistently a black/white web page error with the text “Not found” while some show up sporadically after multiple refreshes. It seems like a very random sporadic behavior.
