Deployment works but editor on Localhost

Hi, I deployed a few days ago ā€œn8nā€ on Render.com.
Today I do not have access to it anymore.
I had to redeploy it and the final message is:

==> Your service is live :tada:
Aug 6 08:31:22 PMVersion: 1.53.0
Aug 6 08:31:22 PM
Aug 6 08:31:22 PMEditor is now accessible via:
Aug 6 08:31:22 PMhttp://localhost:5678/
Aug 6 08:32:21 PM ELIFECYCLE Command failed.
Aug 6 08:36:23 PM==> Detected service running on port 5678
Aug 6 08:36:24 PM==> Docs on specifying a port: Web Services ā€“ Render Docs

What does it mean?

Thanks

Hi there,

As a first step, are you following our port binding guidance here: https://docs.render.com/web-services#port-binding

Thank you for your answer @Mike_Marinaro.
I am not an IT guy and understood that it was easy for beginner to deploy a webservice on Render.
When I read the documentation, I am not sure any more

Hi there,

If you are unsure how to bind the host of your application and to set a port to expose, which is important knowledge to run your application on any server, I recommend doing some online research about the topic and filtering for your specific tech stack. Resources like Stack Overflow can be very helpful for these type of language/framework specific questions.

Thank but this is too complicated for a full beginner as me.

No worries! Best of luck, and we hope you give Render another try down the road.

Mike
