'Deploy specific commit' does not work

Although deploying works in general and there is a working integration between my GitLab account and render.com deploying specific commits does not work:

Thank you for reaching out! I’ve taken a look, and we discovered an issue with deploying specific commits for GitLab repositories. We have deployed a fix to our system, and it is now live. Can you try deploying again and let me know if it works for you?
