Is there a place in the dashboard where I can find a reason on why the database is suddenly unavailable? It is resolved now but it happened twice in a row, yesterday and today. Restarting the database fixed the issue yesterday, it was auto resolved today.
All I see in the dashboard was Status: “Unavailable” and Storage: “Unavailable” and cannot connect via psql. Is there a way to know why it failed?
There are a few reasons why a databased may become unavailable: maintenance, re-starts, reaching resource limits, etc.
If this is happening frequently, look into your metrics and compare them with the specs of the instance type your database is provisioned with.
If it’s happening for seemingly no reason, please reach out to us via the “Contact Support” form in the dashboard.
