Which paid plan or option should I go?

I am now using a free plan to host my app. The problem is that it takes too long for my app to load. I was told that if I upgrade my plan, my app will load faster. I would also like to host my portfolio website in Render. In the future I don’t know if I’m going to have more apps or websites to host yet.

I see that from Pricing | Render , the cheapest paid plan is the Team one with $19/month. Later I saw someone in the Render forum saying that there’s also an option to pay $7 for each application (I need help with the Render pricing ). But I never see that there’s an option to pay $7 to host an app in your website.

I’m unsure if I should pay for the $19/month Team plan or $7 for each app deployed. What is your advice?

I would appreciate your advice!

Hi,

Compute (Instance type) pricing is per service, per instance, per month, prorated to the second. This means we charge for the time a paid instance is provisioned at the end of each month, not in advance.

Team/Org pricing is fixed per member, per month, and is separate from compute/instance type pricing. Teams are not required, but they are required if you want to utilize team features. Teams do not include any compute, and you do not need a team to upgrade a service’s compute/instance type.

Current usage, upcoming (projected) monthly charges, and previous invoices/usage are available to view at any time on your billing page. So it’s worth checking on that page regularly to see how your charges are accruing and adjust if you need to.

If you want a paid service to stop the free instance spin-down, start with the “Starter” instance type and see how you get on.

If i upgrade my website to starter plan to solve the problem of slow loading, would it generate a new link for my website? or the current link will be upgraded

Free Web Service instance types will spin down after 15 minutes of inactivity and spin back up with a subsequent request, which can take a little time.

This is noted in the docs: https://docs.render.com/free#spinning-down-on-idle

Upgrading the service to use any paid instance will prevent the spin-down behavior and would not change any existing URLs.
