Out of interest has anybody done a speed comparison of Render’s static site offering compared to Vercel or Netlify or any others?
Or maybe someone from the Render team can give some info on that?
Hi @che. It’s difficult to do an apples-to-apples speed comparison of Render static sites, Vercel, and Netlify. All three serve traffic from content delivery networks (CDNs) with multiple points of presence around the globe. A fair comparison would have to run tests from multiple locations at multiple times to account for fluctuations in traffic. There’s also a tradeoff between how quickly content is served and how quickly old content can be purged to make way for new content. Render static sites use fastly’s industry-leading CDN.
