Dear Render Support Team,
I am experiencing a connection timeout issue when trying to connect to my PostgreSQL database hosted on Render.com using pgAdmin. Despite verifying my connection settings and network configuration, I am unable to establish a connection.
Details:
- Database Name: szkdatabase
- Hostname: dpg-d22hihndiees73de3vjg-a.oregon-postgres.render.com
- Port: 5432
- Username: szkdatabase_user
- SSL Mode: require
- IP Address Whitelisted: Yes (188.210.187.249)
- Error Message: “Unable to connect to server: connection timeout expired”
- Connection test (telnet) to the host and port fails.
I have already:
- Confirmed my IP is whitelisted on Render.com
- Tested connection from different networks and machines
- Checked local firewall and antivirus settings for blocking outgoing connections on port 5432
Could you please assist in identifying if there are any network restrictions, firewall rules, or outages affecting my database? Additionally, please advise if there are any special connection requirements or if my region/network might be blocked.
