GitHub Should Not be a Unique Identifier

My GitHub handle is a member of an organization for work.

I registered first for a work project.

Now I want to personally host some of my personal GitHub projects on here and I can’t because the GitHub username already belongs to a user on the platform (my work username).

This seems like a bug. Is there a workaround?

Hi James,

We don’t have the ability to use the same GitHub account on multiple render accounts today. I’d encourage you to up vote this feature request at https://feedback.render.com/features/p/allow-githubgitlab-accounts-to-be-connected-to-multiple-render-accounts. It helps to include as much context as possible about your use case, the problem you’re looking to solve, and how you’re getting around it today to help us develop the best possible solution.

We rely heavily on customer feedback as a part of our planning and product roadmap process, so capturing interest on the feature request page is very helpful.

Regards,

Matt
