Deploying A Static Site From GittHub

Hello,

I’m a student and I’m trying to figure out how to deploy a simple static html site I have quickly made in GitHub.

I’ve connected Render to GitHub and but when I go to deploy, I get this error message

Hi there,

Are you running any kind of build process that will place static files within that directory? If not, try just leaving the publish directory as blank if you just want the static assets copied over as is into your Render service.

I get the error that the “publish directory” is required.

Try just setting it to ./ and see if that helps.
