Custom domain SSL error

I am using DNSimple for DNS and have followed Render’s documentation which specify adding an ALIAS record to map my root domain (big-apple.xyz) to my Render domain (https://big-apple-platform.onrender.com/).

My https url for my render site works fine (https://big-apple-platform.onrender.com/app/login) but my custom domain (https://big-apple.xyz/app/login) is not taking advantage of Render’s SSL certificate. The error I’m experiencing is a “Not Secure” / “Certificate Invalid” message in the browser.

I have waited a while for any lingering DNS changes to propogate but the error remains. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @OLI9292 ,

Thanks for letting me know! I took a look, and it looks like big-apple.xyz’s DNS was configured correctly, but we were misinterpreting the results. I’ve manually verified your domain and submitted a bugfix internally for future similar problems. It looks like your site is working now

hey @dan thanks for the quick resolution!
