Cache is not updated for subsequent static site deployments

I have a static site deployed in render.

Domain is attached and verified.

First version of the app is cached to edge servers. Subsequent updates are not cached.

When navigating to the domain, the old cached app is served. Only a hard refresh will cause a browser to fetch the new files.
