You are down! What is happening?

Hey render, it seems you are under a massive outage since almost 30min.
Your status page is not updated and there is no communication from you.
What is happening??

Your status page just got updated, way too late
Our own status page detected the outage at 2:30pm CET
You have to improve this

Hey,

The status page shows problems for Frankfurt only but my Singapore website is also affected. It is a Next.js website that was up and running and now it is alternating between up and down.

Hey,

We are not aware of any issues with our Singapore cluster, please reach out to support via the “Contact Support” form if you’re having issues so we can have a look.

Hi all,
I’m trying to handle such issues client side.

The problem has been reported by our staff member, however I didn’t have the chance to debug it as the service has recovered since then.

What is the status code and response returned by web services in such cases?

It is extremely important for us to properly distinguish app errors to errors related to hosting service

Hey,
You might encounter a 502 error or a timeout, which is what many users reported yesterday. However, it’s worth noting that not all 502s and timeouts can be attributed to this specific issue. Our platform wasn’t deliberately and uniformly offline, so there wasn’t a distinct error message associated with this particular event.

There is very little information about this outage on the status page, other than just “resolved”.
One of the reasons we moved away from Heroku was very poor communication on outages. Could we please get some more information as to what happened and measures that you have implemented (or will implement) to prevent this from occurring?
Cheers

Thank you,
we’ll retry requests only on 5xx errors or timeouts.

According to the Health check, our web service was replying with 500 status code during the outage:

Server unhealthy
HTTP health check failed with status code 500 while running your code.

Hey Brad, we’re still waiting for the RCA to be released, it involves different infrastructure components, not just our take so we need to wait for everyone here.
