Simple way to exclude a single table from Postgres backups?

Is there a way to exclude a specific table from the built-in postgres backup? It seems like the main way to customize the postgres backup config is to switch to AWS S3 backups, but I’d rather avoid that complexity if possible.

It helps to include as much context as possible about your use case, the problem you’re looking to solve, and how you’re getting around it today to help us develop the best possible solution.

As you mentioned, the best approach today for custom backup requirements is the S3 solution.
