Reusing Old URL

Hey all! I uploaded a web service under the following URL last year: https://prospect-league-dashboard.onrender.com/

This year, I uploaded a new web service and deleted the one with the old URL (listed above). However, if possible, I would love to modify my currently-operating URL so that its URL is either changed to the new URL or can operate under both URLs. When I attempt to make a new dashboard under this new URL, Render states that the URL is in use, though I’ve deleted the URL and have nothing running with it.

Is there any way that I can regain access to this old URL and switch my dashboard’s current URL so that it operates under the old URL? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Nicholas,

I’m afraid we can’t restore the old url. The best approach would be to use a Custom Domain. That way, the underlying service (or even service provider) could change, and you could keep your domain.

I understand! Had I known that it couldn’t be restored, I definitely wouldn’t have gone about deleting that web service like I did. If I decide to go down that path, I’ll be sure to reach out to you. Thank you!
