Render CLI not working for me in windows terminal(powershell)

I am trying to download the Render CLI so I can use it in the terminal, but it’s not working out.
I downloaded the CLI following the instructions on this page:Render CLI – Render Docs.

I get a file called render-windows-x86_64.exe. I then go to powershell and type in render config init but I get an error saying it’s not recognized as the name of a cmdlet. I have the .exe file in my system environment variables as a path. Not sure what is wrong.

Hi Chris,

The Render CLI is in alpha, and not currently covered by official Render support channels.

If you discover a bug, GitHub issues is the best place to report it.

Matt
