Persistent Data Strapi

Hi Team

I have a doubt regarding persistent data with my Strapi.
At this moment my backend Strapi is on live with my SQLite database using free trial, which every time Render instance reboots my data would disappear, althought I’ve read it’s totally normal, because I don’t have persistent disks to keep my data after reboot.

My question is which would be the recommended way to keep my data, using persistent disks or postgreSQL databases with Render?

My main idea is to host Strapi a Render to create a small personal ecommerce website and I don’t know which of the two would be advisable for this.

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

Since we do not offer a free disk trial the only way to remain free would be to pair a free Web Service with a trial PostgreSQL database. Note, though, that this will only remain free during the PostgreSQL trial period.

Ultimately, if you wish to persist data you will eventually need to choose a paid option of some variety, whether disk or database.

One more question, how long would be the free trial of postgresql?

Hi there,

This is outlined in our docs here: https://docs.render.com/free#free-postgresql
