If I declare a Render YAML blueprint, can I specify env vars through the web admin?

I’m a little confused about environment variables. I created a render.yaml file which specifies a database, web server, redis instance, and Sidekiq instance. I did put some envVars in those services (not sure why - I think I was just following the tutorial).

I also added some env vars in the web admin of the Sidekiq instance. However, my Sidekiq service cannot access these values.

Are env vars declared in a blueprint mutually exclusive from env vars declared through the web dashboard?
