How to enable Multiple Instances Support for a Web Service?

Hi folks,

I was following the guide describing setting up an Elixir cluster on Render:

It mentions that you can go to a Web Service’s Settings page to increase the desired instance count:

You can add nodes to your cluster by increasing the number of instances for your service under Settings.

But strangely my settings page for my Web Service has no such option?
Is horizontal scaling currently a limited-availability feature for certain plans/configurations?
For what it’s worth, I’m currently on the “Standard Plus” plan in the Oregon USA region.

Hello,

Does your service have a disk? Services with disks don’t support multiple instances for now. There is a feature request at https://feedback.render.com/features/p/allow-disk-access-from-multiple-instances-and-services that you could upvote to get notified of status changes.
