Disable www. redirect?

By default www. domains redirect to root domains. Is it possible to reverse this behavior for specific domains and or services? Alternatively, is it possible to disable the redirect so I can manage it myself?

I run a SaaS with “custom domain name” functionality. And some of my customers prefer to use www.example.com instead of example.com

Hi @marc ,

The redirect behavior depends on which custom domain you add to your service. If, for example and as you’ve seen, you add example.com, it will automatically redirect www.example.comexample.com. On the other hand, if you add www.example.com, it will automatically redirect example.comwww.example.com. Will that work for you and your users?

I’m facing the same issue and require there to not be any automatic redirects e.g. what OP refers to as “disabling”.

Meaning: I want to add example.com but DO NOT want it to automatically redirect www.example.com to example.com. This is because in my DNS settings I have a CNAME set for www. and want it to use that instead.

Hi there,

Just add the www domain first, then it will not be redirected, the root domain will get redirected to www.
